Welcome to the North Carolina Healthcare Information & Communications Alliance, Inc. (NCHICA)

NCHICA is a nonprofit consortium of over 230 organizations representing the many sectors of the healthcare industry. NCHICA's mission is to assist NCHICA members in accelerating the transformation of the U.S. healthcare system through the effective use of information technology, informatics and analytics. NCHICA leads demonstration projects, hosts educational events, fosters collaborative efforts, and supports initiatives that promote the use of standards-based IT in healthcare.

NCHICA’s workgroups are at the forefront in addressing important industry topics such as HIPAA Privacy and Security Compliance, the HITECH Act, ICD-10 and 5010 implementation, and Cloud Computing.
