HIPAA EarlyView Security

HIPAA Security regulations specify safeguards that healthcare organizations must implement to protect the integrity and confidentiality of identifiable health information. The rules were published in draft form in 1998 and the final version was published on February 20, 2003. The compliance deadline was April 20, 2005. HIPAA EarlyView™ Security version 2.1 was designed to help covered entities assess their current state of compliance with the Final HIPAA Security Rule.

HIPAA EarlyView Privacy

The HIPAA privacy regulations include requirements for confidentiality and privacy policies and procedures, consents, authorizations and notices that must be in place in order to maintain, use, or disclose individually identifiable health information in treatment, business operations or other activities. The deadline for compliance was April 14, 2003. HIPAA EarlyView™ Privacy version 2.0 was designed to help healthcare organizations engaged in compliance initiatives assess their current state of HIPAA-readiness, identify needed tasks, and prepare key compliance documents.
