The North Carolina
Healthcare Information and Communications Alliance (NCHICA) invites
you to join your colleagues from other Academic Medical Centers
(AMCs) and teaching hospitals on June 7-9, 2010 to discuss "Meaningful
Privacy and Security." The conference provides an
excellent opportunity to learn about how other AMCs are handling
important privacy and security issues arising from the American
Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), such as Breach Notification
requirements, EHR certification, comparative effectiveness research
data, and compliance audits.
The 2010 conference is based on the principle that AMC privacy
and security leaders gain great value from contact with their peers.
Each session is led by panelists from AMCs across the country. There
are plenary sessions and breakout sessions on Compliance/Governance,
Research and Security topics. The sessions include time
for discussion, and there is ample time to network with peers outside
the sessions as well.
